About shane

Hi, I'm Shane.

Shane is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with more than a decade of experience in the mental health field. In 2023, he and his wife Julia founded Family Life Counseling Center in Eagle, Idaho, driven by a shared vision of delivering quality care rooted in strong family values.

Shane specializes in marriage and family therapy and is deeply committed to supporting children, adolescents, and families. Shane’s background includes extensive work within the Children’s Mental Health System of Care, where he emphasized the importance of early mental health intervention.

His experience spans diverse clinical settings, including a practicum at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where he worked with soldiers and their families at the Command and General Staff College. During this time, Shane received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful therapeutic approach he now uses to help military members, first responders, and survivors of abuse heal from trauma.

Outside of his professional life, Shane is a devoted husband to Julia and a proud father to their daughter, Adeline. Together, they enjoy exploring Idaho’s natural beauty and creating lasting family memories outdoors.
