You care, but connection feels distant.

Conversations often lead to tension, and closeness feels out of reach. You've tried to make progress, but nothing seems to help. You don’t have to navigate this alone — reach out to start your journey toward healing and reconnection.

My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in the latest clinical insights, focusing on actionable goals that help you:

Rebuild trust and connection, whether as a couple, individually, or as a family

Understand your core needs and fears, and those of others

Improve communication without blame or shutdown

Restore emotional and physical intimacy, at your own pace

We don’t just talk – we take action. Together, we’ll set clear goals and move toward healing and reconnection.

Hi, I'm Shane.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. My wife Julia and I founded Family Life Counseling Center in Eagle, Idaho, in 2023 with a shared vision of providing quality care grounded in strong family values.

I specialize in marriage and family therapy and am deeply committed to supporting children, adolescents, and families. My background includes extensive work within the Children’s Mental Health System of Care, emphasizing the importance of early mental health support.

I’ve also served in diverse clinical settings, including a practicum at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where I worked with soldiers and their families at the Command and General Staff College. During this time, I was trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful tool I now use to help military members, first responders, and survivors of abuse heal from trauma.

Outside of my practice, I’m a devoted husband to Julia and proud father to our daughter, Adeline. As a family, we love exploring Idaho’s natural beauty and creating lasting memories outdoors.
