Big Emotions. Big Reactions. And You’re Not Sure What’s Going On.

Your child is anxious, overwhelmed, acting out, or shutting down—and no matter what you try, things still feel off. Maybe school is becoming a battle, or their confidence has taken a hit. You want to understand what’s really happening beneath the surface—and how to help them feel better.

I work with kids and teens who are facing real emotional and behavioral challenges.

My goal is to create a space where they feel safe, understood, and capable of growing into the best version of themselves.
Using evidence-based methods and years of hands-on experience with kids and families, I help children:

Build emotional awareness and resilience

Process tough experiences or transitions

Improve self-esteem and confidence

Strengthen communication with family and peers

Learn to regulate reactions and make empowered choices

Therapy with kids isn’t just about “fixing problems”—it’s about helping them feel seen, safe, and strong.

If you're ready to get your child the support they need, I’m here to help. Let’s move forward—together.

Hi, I'm Shane.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. My wife Julia and I founded Family Life Counseling Center in Eagle, Idaho, in 2023 with a shared vision of providing quality care grounded in strong family values.

I specialize in marriage and family therapy and am deeply committed to supporting children, adolescents, and families. My background includes extensive work within the Children’s Mental Health System of Care, emphasizing the importance of early mental health support.

I’ve also served in diverse clinical settings, including a practicum at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where I worked with soldiers and their families at the Command and General Staff College. During this time, I was trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful tool I now use to help military members, first responders, and survivors of abuse heal from trauma.

Outside of my practice, I’m a devoted husband to Julia and proud father to our daughter, Adeline. As a family, we love exploring Idaho’s natural beauty and creating lasting memories outdoors.
